Police say a 54-year-old Lincoln woman held Mr. Coffee hostage.

Kyra R. Kinkade, whose niece asked her to keep an eye on her house near 49th and Superior streets, allegedly took the woman’s coffee machine and demanded money for a week of house-sitting, Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood said.
Kinkade was cited on suspicion of misdemeanor larceny after her neice returned home Sunday and reported her $10 Mr. Coffee machine ( The Best Coffee Maker ) missing, Flood said.
Kinkade allegedly demanded $48 for watching the house.
