So Theresa and I celebrated 5 years of marriage by taking a little trip Saturday. I slept in a bit and we headed off to the farmers market, hit the Lincoln Calling market, Ashland, Louisville, and Omaha. Came home for our favorite meal and I snuck a Pharmacy Spirits show in before watching Monsters inc. Quite a full day.
lots of pics below
I was planning on hooking up my trailer, but we figured Theresa’s bike basket should be good enough.
There were folks still selling sweet corn so I ran home and grabbed the trailer and got 4 dozen. The trailer was heavy, but I made it to Box Awesome for the Lincoln Calling merch sale and picked up 7 CD’s
Here is the graffiti on the new bridge.
Headed out to Ashland. Figured it would be a fun little town to stop in. Cruised the main drag and saw there was a tiny museum. It had a wildlife display and some art. Pretty cool actually. There were a few small shops there too.
I got an old Falstaff beer can from a store in Ashland.
We saw tons of motorcycles heading to some fest at a place called Parkers near Ashland. Seemed lots of small towns were invaded and the roads were filled. They ground out these lanes on 66. Not really sure why and they were not very straight. Made it hard to keep going straight.
Hit Louisville and stopped at a shop called Cood De Ville. It has lots of neat stuff for the ladies.
We picked up a cute bowl that had feet.
We skipped Plattsmouth since we were running late and the place we wanted to stop at closed at 3 PM.
So in the Old Market I went with Theresa into that Christmas year round store. We needed an ornament for Thunks.
There is a place that has killer deserts in the old market called something Delice. I got an almond raspberry torte and Theresa got an eclair.
We hit up a new place called Stokes. The food looks awesome and I would love to have dinner there. Mex food with a flair.
we got some nachos
Headed home and made some peppercorn tenderloin.
I made some bread after I asked Theresa to remind me. She put stickie notes all over so I would not forget.
Theresa added bacon to the risotto for a change.
After dinner I headed down to Knickerbockers to see Pharmacy Spirits rock
